Internship at the Museum of Everyday Writing

I participated in an Internship in Spring 2022 with the Museum of Everyday writing. I was involved with a few different tasks while working with the organization. Other interns and I were able to help update the museum's social media and main website. We were able to spread word on the importance of the museum's message as well as make their platforms more modern.

Website Development

In this campaign, I was asked to work with a group to create an organization and market it. We were able to orchestrate public events, social media accounts, a website and even a company logo. This website's purpose was to help the community find information on events and a place for them to purchase merchandise.

Advertising for Organization

As a part of a marketing campaign, we were asked to finds way to effectively reach our target audience. This was done through a social media platform, we mainly used an Instagram page. Posts with local events, stories with details, and previews of our merchandise were all added to the account.

OP-ED Article

As one of my first pieces, I created an Op-Ed article that places the reader in my shoes. A point of view from a black man who was an essential worker throughout Covid-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement.
